Sutch Concrete was founded in 1993. The company includes both a Certified Tennis Court builder and a Level 1 Post Tension installer. Game courts and post tension courts are our specialty, with the first game court being built in 1996 and the first post tension court built in 2000.

How Much Space Is Needed?
This depends on the type of court you want. For pickleball, the minimum playing surface USA Pickleball requires is 30’x60’, with the actual playing lines measuring 20’x44’. For tennis, a standard court is 120’x60’, with a playing area of 78’ long and 27’ wide for singles or 36’ wide for doubles. For basketball courts, you have a lot of freedom, as you can get the full court, a half-court, or even just the key. We can work with you in order to determine whether you have enough space for a court.

How Long Does It Take To Build A Court?
This depends on what the weather is like, whether or not you have your permits, if you need approval from an HOA, what the terrain is like, and other such factors. That said, once the colors and design have all been approved, the typical court construction process can take a few weeks to a few months.

How Long Do Court Surfaces Last?
On average, court surfaces last about 6-10 years before they need to be resurfaced. Bear in mind that this varies depending on use, weather exposure, and maintenance, as well as what the court is used for. Professional court surfaces must be pristine always while a backyard court can be more beat up. Of course, the better you maintain your court, the longer it is likely to last you.

How Do You Maintain A Court?
Court maintenance is pretty straightforward. You just need to clean the court as needed with proper equipment, like soft-bristled brooms. You want to be vigilant about repairing any damage and check for mold and mildew growth. You want to remove standing water asap. You want to set court rules in place, such as no food or drinks on the court. Another part of court maintenance is resurfacing it as needed, because even if you take impeccable care of your court, no surface will last forever.
